At Bad Business Model Bikes, our mission is to make a difference in people's lives.

We believe that everyone deserves the freedom and joy of riding a bike.

We need your support to continue doing the work we love so much — matching bikes to people who need them.

By donating today, you can help us fulfill our mission and bring smiles to the faces of those who have limited means but limitless potential.

Together, we can make a lasting impact, one bike at a time.

What people are saying

  • The best service and generosity on the planet.

    — Denise

  • Bad Business Model Bikes helps people clear out their garage, save items from the landfill - AND feel all warm and fuzzy. For others who are budget challenged, it provides a vital transportation lifeline in the form of a free, beautifully refurbished bicycle. There is no bureaucracy or BS - just a magical exchange that benefits all.

    — Ellen

  • Thank you for all that you do for the people who can't afford bikes!

    — Victoria

  • Awesome mission getting bikes to people who need them for zero dollars and no sense!

    — Dannielle

  • Billy is an angel touching peoples lives by giving them bikes as a mode of transportation where they otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford one. He helped my brother when his bike was broken and no longer worked. That bike was his only way to get around. The morning we went to get his new bike he couldn’t believe that someone who didn’t know him was willing to help him. He was truly happy and amazed by the generosity. You truly made his day. I am forever grateful. My brother passed away 3 weeks ago. You made the last year of his life easier, he was able to get to his appointments and around to get groceries for he and his daughter because of you. Thank you.

  • Billy is and outstanding human being whose selfless Acts are encouraging people to be more active and kind. Although the business model might not make all the sense in the world, it is one that will have drastic implications of the positive kind. This was a very beautiful and moving experience. Thank you for being such a wonderful humanist.

    — Edgar

    — Diana

  • Here we have the final Bad Business Model Bikes donation numbers for me: We provided 800 bikes overall with 90 bikes to AIDS/LifeCycle riders. The last bike went to Russell last week, and also pictured are a few of the very first donations. The vintage Trek went to Steven Kanahe Espaniola, the Schwinn went to (I think) Candi Hood? and the mtn bike went to my neighbor's son. I am incredibly grateful that Jenn Koscielniak is now running Bad Business Model Bikes out of Richmond and keeping the dream alive. RIDE ON!

  • Thank you for continuing the bad business model!
